To provide advanced application engineering support, commissioning, troubleshooting, and after-sales service for industrial pumps and compressors, ensuring customer satisfaction, reliability, and long-term performance of equipment across various industries.
Application Engineering
- Study customer process requirements and recommend suitable pump & compressor selection
- Perform hydraulic calculations, duty point analysis, and system matching
- Support sales team with technical proposals, datasheets, GA drawings, and specifications
- Review P&IDs, process data sheets, and system layouts
- Suggest energy-efficient and cost-optimized solutions
After-Sales & Service Support
- Supervise installation, commissioning, and performance testing at customer sites
- Diagnose and resolve field failures, performance issues, vibration, cavitation, leakage, and mechanical problems
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective/preventive actions
- Handle breakdown services and planned maintenance activities
- Provide technical support to service engineers and channel partners
Customer & Site Coordination
- Act as a technical interface between customer, sales, and factory teams
- Train customers on operation, maintenance, and best practices
- Address customer complaints professionally and ensure timely resolution
- Prepare service reports, commissioning reports, and failure analysis documents
Product Improvement & Feedback
- Share field feedback with design, quality, and production teams
- Support continuous improvement in product design and service procedures
- Assist in development of service manuals, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides
- Centrifugal Pumps, Multistage Pumps, API Pumps
- Positive Displacement Pumps (preferred)
- Air / Gas Compressors (Reciprocating / Screw / Centrifugal – as applicable)
- Mechanical seals, bearings, lubrication systems
- Alignment, vibration basics, cavitation analysis
- Knowledge of standards: API, ISO, ANSI, ASME
- Reading engineering drawings, P&IDs, GA drawings
- BE / BTech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Additional certifications in pumps, compressors, or reliability engineering (preferred)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical ability
- Good communication and customer-handling skills
- Willingness to travel extensively
- Leadership and mentoring capability
- Customer satisfaction & complaint closure time
- First-time right commissioning
- Reduction in repeat failures
- Technical support effectiveness
