Rotary Gear Pump - Accurate Flow for Thick Liquids

CENTRIFUGAL PUMP WITH SEMI OPEN IMPELLER

A rotary gear pump is one of the positive displacement pumps that transport fluid based on the interlocking of gears. It is designed for handling clean, viscous fluids at steady flow rates. Widely used in industries that requires precise, pulse-free delivery of liquids. Jee Pumps Limited is a well-known Rotary Gear Pump manufacturers in India, bringing a vast range of industrial pumps for various sectors.

These pumps are built for durability, consistency, and efficiency, making them a go-to choice for lubricating oils, fuels, syrups, resins, and other thick fluids.

How Rotary Gear Pumps Work

Rotary gear pumps work on two gears rotating in opposite directions. When the gears unmesh at the inlet side, a vacuum is formed that pulls the fluid into the pump. The fluid is then transported between the gear teeth and the casing to the outlet side, where it is pushed out under pressure as the gears mesh.

Core Features

  • Positive Displacement Design: Provides constant flow despite variations in discharge pressure.
  • Self-Priming Ability: Is able to suck fluid into the pump without the aid of external priming.
  • Handles High Viscosity Fluids: Performs well with oils, molasses, adhesives, and polymers.
  • Low Footprint: Well-suited for space-constrained applications.
  • Low Shear Transfer: Safeguards fragile fluids from harm during transfer.
  • Available in Internal & External Gear Types: Choice depends on fluid type, flow rate, and application requirements.

Common Applications

  • Oil & Lubricant Transfer: Pumps engine oils, gear oils, hydraulic fluids, and greases in maintenance systems and lube skids.
  • Chemical Processing: Transfers polymers, solvents, surfactants, and speciality fluids with accuracy.
  • Food & Beverage: Transfers chocolate, syrups, vegetable oils, and flavor concentrates with hygienic designs being available.
  • Paints, Coatings & Adhesives: Transfers inks, resins, glues, and emulsions with consistent flow.
  • Fuel Handling: These are used in systems that transfer kerosene, heating oil, diesel and biodiesel.
  • Bitumen & Asphalt Applications: These facilities use pumps to move hot, viscous materials for road surfacing and manufacturing.

Technical Benefits

  • Pulsation free, smooth flow: Suitable for dosing or metering applications.
  • Bidirectional Flow Capability: Can be operated in both directions without mechanical conversion.
  • Easy Maintenance: Lower number of moving parts assure quicker servicing and less downtime.
  • High Pressure & Temperature Range: Models available to meet extreme-duty applications.

Custom Sealing Options: Mechanical seals, packed glands, or magnetic drives depending upon application.
